Job summary

Bedford Care Centers seeks a Nurse Supervisor to oversee Nurses and Nurse Aides in a long-term care facility. You will ensure compliant resident care across units, plan, organize, and supervise nursing activities while maintaining excellent communication with Residents, Employees, and Physicians.

You will lead rounds with doctors, assess residents, coordinate transport, and ensure accurate charting per guidelines. Strong leadership and a compassionate approach to elder care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must supervise Nurses and Nurse Aides and coordinate resident care.
• Excellent oral and written communication; ability to work with elderly residents.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to compassionate elder care.
• Supervises Nurses and Nurse Aides to coordinate and ensure quality resident care.
• Makes rounds with Physicians and conducts resident rounds daily.
• Records and communicates residents’ conditions with Physicians and assists with transportation arrangements.
• Uses Documentation Guidelines for timely charting and care descriptions.
• Participates in Resident Assessment and Care Planning as needed.
• Conducts complete Resident Assessment and Nursing History/Physical for new admits and transfers.
• Monitors IV Therapy and IV medications as ordered.
• Performs QA assessments and informs DON of issues.
• Monitors and evaluates quality of care provided by agency nurses.
