Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or temporary permit or NLC/eNLC multi-state license.
• Three years of RN experience, OR a Bachelor’s in nursing with two years RN experience, OR a Master’s in nursing/public health with two years RN experience, OR a Doctorate in nursing/public health with one year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and directs the care delivery of all residents on a unit.
• Receives shift report and assesses needs to reassign personnel for best coverage.
• Collaborates with RN Supervisor in evening/night shifts to provide 24-hour resident care.
• Reviews work orders to maintain a safe environment and facilitates transfers if needed.
• Completes RAI and inputs MDS data into the system.
• Supervises and evaluates subordinate staff and recommends actions.
• Conducts Quality Assurance audits as assigned by Nursing Administration.
• Prepares schedule with the Director of Nurses and advises on leaves.
