Louisiana Veterans Homes in Monroe, LA is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide first-line supervision of nursing services in a large 156-bed, 24-hour facility. The role includes administering medications, IV therapy, and specialized care under supervision.
The position requires a current Louisiana RN license or NLC/eNLC license. Appointment type is PRN in the Nursing Department of the Northeast LA Veterans Home.
The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Homes is to primarily serve the Veterans' population of Louisiana through the provision of medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide first-line supervision of nursing services in either a clinical, educational, or programmatic setting at a Louisiana War Veterans Home—a large, complex, 156-bed, 24-hour health care facility. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform professional nursing duties that may include administration of blood and blood components, I.V. medications, parenteral nutrition, central line therapy, etc., under the close supervision of a registered nurse of a higher level.
Possession of a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or a temporary permit or multi-state license issued by a Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC/eNLC) state to practice as a registered nurse.

Location: This position is located in the Nursing Department of the Northeast LA Veterans Home in Monroe, Louisiana.
Work Schedule (Evenings and Nights): WAE employees are only allowed to work 1245 hours within a twelve-month period and are not eligible for or entitled to state benefits, leave earnings, and paid holidays
Compensation: This position offers hourly premium pay and shift differentials, with additional rates based on the shift worked per applicable pay policies.
