Job summary

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the GRHS unit in Savannah. This role plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a unit or shift.

You will supervise staff, oversee care quality, administer medications, maintain records, and coordinate with the health care team. A Georgia RN license and leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Current Georgia RN license as Registered Professional Nurse.
• Four years of professional nursing experience, including two years in a lead/supervisory role (or one year at RN 3).
• Three years’ experience supervising direct care staff.
• BSN preferred but not required with extensive experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a unit or shift.
• Oversees the provision and quality of nursing care to clients.
• Supervises and plans work of assigned staff.
• Administers prescribed medications or starts IV fluids and notes on charts.
• Coordinates with health care team to assess, plan, and evaluate client care plans.
• Maintains accurate reports and client records.
