Job summary

Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee daily nursing activities and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards. This on-site, full-time/part-time role supports our Veterans Home and patient care teams.

The successful candidate will hold a nursing degree, active RN license in Texas, and demonstrate leadership and supervisory abilities. Prior long-term care supervisory experience is preferred, and EOE protections apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active RN license in this state.
• Demonstrated leadership/supervisory ability and the ability to supervise staff.
• Prior RN Supervisor experience in long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN Supervisor provides nursing supervision, coordination, and evaluation of day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• The RN Supervisor is responsible to provide nursing supervision, coordination, and evaluation of the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility.

Key Qualifications:

• Must have, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved RN program.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must possess leadership/and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
• Prior experience as an RN Supervisor in a long-term care community is preferred.
