Job summary

Crestway Nursing & Rehabilitation seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and coordinate patient care in accordance with professional standards. The role requires clinical leadership, adherence to policies, and active participation in quality and infection control programs.

The successful candidate will supervise nursing personnel, ensure timely communication with departments, and educate patients and families about care plans in a dynamic facility setting.

Qualifications

• Current state RN/LPN/LVN license in the state.
• RN requires an Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One year of nursing management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and coordinates care delivery according to standards and physician orders.
• Follows center policies and applicable federal, state and local guidelines.
• Uses infection control practices and manuals in daily work.
• Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and health programs.

Job description

Objective

Supervises nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient’s needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.

Principal Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge and appropriate use of the HCR Infection Control Manual.
• Understands, participates and assists in implementing the Q.A.A.
• Utilizes the Quality Life Practice Guide Manual for identification, placement, and monitoring of patients in the appropriate programs.
• Notifies other Departments of patient changes, i.e., room changes, LOA, new admits, discharge, etc.
• Conducts family and patient education.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed as RN/LPN/LVN in state. For RNs, Associates Degree is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

One-year prior nursing management experience preferred
