Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections - Corrections Services is seeking an RN Supervisor A to lead nursing operations in a 64-bed Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) for incarcerated individuals with complex health needs. Qualifications
- Hold a current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or equivalent multi-state license under NLC/eNLC.
- Three years of experience as a licensed RN; or a bachelor’s degree with two years’ RN experience; or a master’s with two years’ RN experience; or a doctorate with one year RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead nursing operations in the 64-bed Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU).
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and supervise the care of inmates.
- Administer medications and treatments in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Conduct nursing assessments and communicate with providers to ensure timely dispositions.
- Develop and review care plans and ensure orders are transmitted to relevant units.
