Job summary

Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Universal Health Services, seeks an RN Nurse Supervisor for the 7:00 pm–7:00 am shift at its Myrtle Beach area facility. You will supervise nursing staff, oversee clinical areas after hours, and coordinate with the DON, Nurse Manager, and admissions to ensure quality psychiatric care.

Responsibilities include managing staffing grids, documenting thoroughly, handling patient concerns, and ensuring codes are executed properly.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of nursing supervisor experience
• Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred
• Current license in good standing in the State of South Carolina as a Registered Nurse
• CPI Certification preferred
• Knowledge of ANA nursing standards and Federal and State guidelines and regulatory agencies
• Must have the ability to work independently
• Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Accuracy in work performance and valuing of documentation are mandatory
• Must possess excellent supervisory and organization skills
• Must possess planning, organization, implementation and assessment skills
• Must have the ability to motivate, evaluate and train employee

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff and oversee clinical areas during after-hours
• Coordinate with admissions regarding after-hours admissions and discharges
• Control FTEs and staffing using staffing grids and census data
• Ensure proper documentation and oversee all codes
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager for quality care
