Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Connecticut is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to lead the Nursing department on an assigned shift, ensuring delivery of direct and indirect patient care using the Nursing Process.

The role focuses on fostering a positive professional environment and continuous quality improvement to optimize patient outcomes and flow. The position requires a BSN, CT RN license, and BLS certification, with prior supervisory/leadership experience in a psychiatric/behavioral

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nursing experience or Supervisory/Leadership experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut required.
• BLS provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor the Nursing department on assigned shift.
• Ensure direct and indirect patient care via the Nursing Process.
• Foster continuous quality improvement to enhance patient care outcomes and patient flow.
• Provide leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of the RN unit manager or administrator.
