Job summary

St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport seeks a Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor. This experienced RN will supervise nursing departments on assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care in line with standards and regulations.

The role emphasizes leadership, patient flow, and continuous quality improvement across units. The position requires a CT RN license, a BSN, BLS certification, and 3 years of psychiatric/behavioral health nursing or related supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• 3 years of Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nursing experience or equivalent.
• Supervisory/Leadership experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license from Connecticut required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• supervise and monitor the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift according to nursing standards and regulations.
• ensure direct and indirect patient care through the Nursing Process and support professional nursing practice.
• provide leadership for multiple hospital departments in the absence of the RN unit manager, director, or administration.
