Job summary

The Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor at St. Vincent’s Medical Center is an experienced RN who supervises nursing units on an assigned shift.

The role ensures delivery of direct and indirect patient care according to nursing standards while fostering a positive environment for professional practice and continuous quality improvement. Ideal candidates hold a BSN, a CT RN license, BLS certification, and have supervisory experience, with at least 3 years in Psychiatric/Behavioral Health

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
3 years of Psychiatric/Behavioral Health Nursing experience.
Supervisory/Leadership experience required.
Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut.
BLS provider certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

supervise and monitor the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift.
ensure delivery of direct and indirect patient care via the Nursing Process.
foster continuous quality improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
ensure patient flow throughout the organization.
provide leadership in the absence of the RN unit manager or administration.
