Job summary

Jenkinsmedicalcenter is seeking an experienced RN to supervise nursing care for acutely ill adults and geriatrics in the Senior Behavioral Health Unit. The role supports performance improvement and patient-centered care, mentoring staff and leading clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred (or within 3 months of employment).
• PALS certification preferred (within 6 months of employment).
• Minimum one (1) year of RN experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Psychiatric or geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Ensure continual delivery of high quality nursing care
• Provide direct patient care as needed, including medications and treatments
• Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes
• Support and guide nursing staff while maintaining a collaborative team environment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and treatment needs
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families
• Manage emergency situations while maintaining a calm, controlled environment
• Work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions
