Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks a Nursing Professional to supervise nursing personnel at the Coastal Regional Center in Summerville, SC. You will ensure daily nursing care, training, and treatment align with licensing standards and policy requirements.

Under the Director of Nursing, you will manage staffing, oversee schedules, and lead initiatives to improve patient wellness and care

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• Knowledge of nursing administration and relevant healthcare regulations.
• Ability to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and mentors nursing staff on assigned shift to support the nursing department's mission and goals.
• Ensures nursing schedule and coverage to meet target staffing levels and approves time/leave for staff.
• Provides active leadership to ensure compliance with Federal/State regulations and BHDD/OIDD policies.
• Stays current with nursing trends and facilitates educational programs for staff development.
• Performs activities to build morale as directed by the Director of Nursing.
