Job summary
The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDD) seeks a Nursing Professional to supervise nursing personnel at Coastal Regional Center in Summerville, SC. You will lead RN and LPN staff, ensure high quality care, and align practice with the South Carolina Nursing Practice Act and BHDD policies.
Under the Director of Nursing, you will plan, organize, implement, evaluate, and delegate nursing care, manage staffing,
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and SC RN licensure.
- Experience supervising registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
- Knowledge of nursing administration, federal/state regulations, and BHDD policies.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities; able to manage schedules and disciplinary actions.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff on assigned shift to support department goals.
- Maintain nursing schedule and coverage to meet staffing targets.
- Provide leadership to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Promote ongoing professional development and implement educational programs.
- Participate in activities to build morale as assigned.
