Job summary

At Berkley West Healthcare Center in Santa Monica, CA, we seek an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities on the night shift. The role requires licensure in California, CPR certification, and leadership in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN valid in the state of California.
• RN Supervisor SNF experience preferred.
• Current valid CPR certification required.
• One year staff nurse and three years management experience in an acute care facility.
• Nursing degree from accredited college or graduation from approved RN program required.

Responsibilities

• Delegate administrative authority and accountability for assigned duties.
• Maintain acceptable nursing practice and professional decorum.
• Be courteous and cooperative when communicating with staff, residents and public.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations governing long term care nursing facilities.
• Knowledge and implementation of the facility's policies and procedures.
• Direct and assist Licensed Nurses in clinical performance areas.
• Perform Charge Nurse duties as assigned.
• Act as Assistant Director of Nursing Services on the day shift as directed.
• Respond to emergencies and complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Notify Administrator/Director of Nursing of serious situations.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.

Position Summary:

Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility during your tour of duty. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN valid in the same state as the facility

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required
