Job summary

Workstream in Laguna Hills, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership for nursing staff and guide patient care in a premier facility.

You will collaborate with physicians, supervise LVNs and CNAs, review notes, administer treatments and manage care plans while ensuring regulatory compliance and compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in the state of California
• Supervisory background in SNF settings
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication; problem solving; basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist
• Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills
• Ability to lead by example with a kind, patient and professional demeanor

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with attending physicians to provide patient care and document progress notes and orders per regulations and policies
• Oversees LVNs, CNAs and other clinical staff in nursing procedures and treatments per physician orders and patient needs
• Reviews nurses’ notes to ensure accuracy and alignment with resident wishes and orders
• Administers treatments and medications, starts IVs, documents as required
• Interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions
• Collaborates with nursing staff to create a Plan of Care
• Maintains a kind, positive, safe work environment and escalates concerns to the Administrator

Position Summary:

Provides leadership for nursing staff and guidance in the care of patients/residents’ care and services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, the resident's assessment and company policies.

Qualifications:

• Current RN License valid in the same state as the facility
• Supervisory background in SNFsetting

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with attending physicians to provide patient care, record/sign progress notes, physician orders, etc. in accordance with all current regulations and company policies
• Oversees and directs L.V.N.s, C.N.A.s and other clinical support persons in performing nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with physician orders and patient needs
• Reviews nurses’ notes to ensure they are accurate/descriptive of the nursing care being provided, including the resident’s responses to the care, and that care is in accordance with the resident’s wishes and physician orders
• Administers treatments and medications, start IVs, charting/documenting as required
• Interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions
• Collaborates with nursing staff and leadership team to create a Plan of Care for patients
• Ensures a kind, positive, safe work environment for everyone, ensuring professional communication at all times and escalating any concerns to the Administrator
