Job summary

North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee nursing staff and day-to-day activities on assigned shifts. Under the Director of Nursing, supervise care planning, admission assessments, rounds, and direct resident care as needed.

The role requires a BSN (preferred), active RN license in Florida, IV and CPR/BLS certifications, and strong nursing regulatory knowledge. English proficiency required; additional languages helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Strong understanding of nursing practices, medical procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages helpful.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical care planning and delivery to ensure coordinated, quality resident care, including review and updates of care plans.
• Assess residents upon admission and periodically as their condition changes.
• Conduct regular rounds to evaluate resident status and identify needs.
• Provide or assist with direct resident care when necessary, including activities of daily living, meal support, medication and treatment administration, and participation in leisure activities as appropriate.

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, this role supervises nursing personnel and oversees day‑to‑day nursing activities during assigned shifts. All responsibilities must align with accepted professional standards and federal, state, and local regulations to ensure the highest quality of care.
