Atlantic View Post Acute in Newport News, VA, seeks an RN Supervisor to lead daily nursing operations, ensure compliance, and provide clinical leadership for resident care in a 154-bed facility. The role is full-time with evening hours and competitive pay.

The RN supervisor will supervise care, coordinate staff, monitor conditions, and ensure adherence to physician orders and facility policies while fostering a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current VA RN license in good standing.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Able to manage care for multiple patients efficiently.
• Minimum 2+ years nursing experience in healthcare.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and center regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care to ensure safe, timely, and effective delivery.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff on assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and document interventions promptly.
• Ensure compliance with orders, care plans, and facility policies.
• Communicate with physicians, teams, residents, and families about changes.
• Assist in prioritizing care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to nursing regulations and safety standards.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment through leadership.

Shift Differentials:

• $1.50 for Evening Shift- 3 PM - 11 PM

$38-$60/hour (all-inclusive)

Responsibilities for RN Supervisor:

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.

Qualifications for RN Supervisor:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in the state of VA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting required.
• No previous supervisory experience required; training will be provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, residents, families, visitors, and regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and applicable laws, regulations, and standards in nursing care centers.
