Job summary

Atlantic View Post Acute in Newport News, VA, is seeking an RN Supervisor for a full-time evening shift (3 PM–11 PM). You will lead nursing staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide leadership to nursing teams to promote optimal resident outcomes in a 154-bed Sub-Acute/Long-Term Care facility.

We offer daily pay, a $1.50 evening shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition reimbursement, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RN license in the state of VA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Ability to manage care for multiple patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Minimum of 2+ years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing care activities to ensure residents receive safe, effective, and timely care.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are implemented and documented.
• Ensure compliance with physician orders, care plans, and facility policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and family members regarding changes in condition or care needs.
• Assist in managing multiple residents and prioritize care based on clinical urgency.
• Support adherence to all applicable nursing regulations, safety standards, and facility guidelines.
• Promote a positive work environment through teamwork, communication, and professional leadership.
