Job summary

Arnold Walter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hazlet, NJ is seeking an RN/LPN Supervisor for the overnight shift (11:00 PM–7:00 AM). You will lead the nursing team, oversee resident care, and work closely with the DON and ADON to maintain high clinical standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered RN or LPN license in the State of New Jersey.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative or restorative nursing.
• Strong clinical, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing department operations during the overnight shift.
• Support the DON and ADON in maintaining high standards of resident care.
• Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Conduct regular rounds to monitor resident care, safety, and staff performance.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and coverage throughout the shift.
• Monitor resident conditions and ensure timely clinical interventions.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and room readiness.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and clinical charting.
• Monitor compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and federal requirements.
• Participate in surveys, audits, quality assurance, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies, resident concerns, and grievances.
• Ensure completion of narcotic counts and emergency equipment and safety checks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with maintaining continuity and quality of care across shifts.

Pay Rate: $45–$52 per hour, based on experience

Position Summary

The RN/LPN Supervisor is responsible for overseeing nursing operations and resident care during the overnight shift.
