This RN Supervisor supports the nursing resource pool at Grosse Pointe Hospital, offering an opportunity to work with a diverse team of staff including RNs, NAs, and Sitters, collaborating across various hospital units.

Scope of Work

The Nurse Supervisor coordinates personnel and resources to meet patient care needs efficiently. They collaborate on crisis management, interpret policies and procedures, and ensure effective communication between departments. The Nurse Supervisor acts on behalf of organizational leadership across all venues on a 24-hour basis, making decisions and providing leadership.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required.
  • Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience required.
  • One year of formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants.
  • One year of informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, such as Charge Nurse responsibilities or leadership roles in Shared Governance Council.
  • Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
