Job summary

Dunkirk-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Center- in Dunkirk, NY is seeking an experienced RN with supervision experience in a long-term care setting. The role requires leadership, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

FT position with 5 days/week and 2-10PM shifts, every other weekend. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• RN degree from accredited program.
• Minimum 1 year LTC RN supervision experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and clinical skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures new admissions are completed thoroughly and all assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and ensures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in development, implementation, and communication of residents’ plan of care.
• Makes frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure staff perform as per nursing standards and residents’ needs are met.
• Monitors documentation procedures and reports to the Director of Nursing.

Educational Requirements

Graduation from an accredited program in Nursing.

Experience Required

Minimum of 1-year Long Term Care RN supervision experience, strong leadership and excellent clinical skills required.

Essential Functions

• Ensures that new admissions are completed in a thorough manner and that all pertinent assessments are completed.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• Making frequent rounds on nursing units to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met.
• Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing.

6pm-6am & With Every other Weekend
