Garden Gate Health Care Facility in Cheektowaga, NY, part of The McGuire Group, seeks an RN Supervisor to oversee nursing operations during the 3 pm–11:30 pm shift. You will ensure high-quality resident care, staff support, regulatory compliance, and a safe environment.

You will supervise nursing staff, ensure care plans are followed, monitor residents, oversee medications, and lead staff education while promoting resident-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NY State RN license.
• Leadership experience in a nursing/geriatric setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Excellent communication and frontline team leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing staff during assigned shift (3 pm–11:30 pm)
• Ensure implementation and updating of resident care plans
• Conduct resident assessments and communicate changes to providers/families
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, and nursing documentation
• Address concerns from residents, families, visitors, and staff
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and overtime approvals
• Support staff education, orientation, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with policies, infection control, resident rights, and regulations
• Respond to emergencies and facility operations issues
• Participate in QAPI initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Supervise nursing staff, including team leaders, nursing assistants, and trainees during assigned shifts
• Ensure resident care plans are implemented, updated, and followed appropriately
• Conduct resident assessments and monitor changes in condition, ensuring timely communication with providers and families
• Oversee medication administration, treatments, documentation, and nursing services
• Address resident, family, visitor, and staff concerns while promoting a positive care experience
• Assist with staffing coverage, scheduling adjustments, and overtime authorization as needed
• Support staff education, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, resident rights, and regulatory requirements
• Respond to emergencies, safety concerns, incidents, and facility operational issues
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience in a geriatric or rehabilitation setting; 3+ years preferred
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision‑making skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution abilities
• Knowledge of long‑term care regulations, infection control practices, and resident rights
• Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
