Job summary

Maple Farm seeks an experienced RN Supervisor to lead nursing services, supervise CNAs, coordinate care plans and ensure regulatory compliance, resident safety, and compassionate care for residents.

This 32-hour-per-week full-time night-shift role (11pm–7am, Monday–Thursday) requires a PA RN license and strong leadership. Maple Farm offers health insurance, a 401K with company match, tuition assistance, and a first-time homebuyer program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license (PA).
• Experience supervising nursing staff preferred.
• Knowledge of restorative nursing and long-term care.
• Infection control procedures knowledge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Commitment to customer service, teamwork, and professional development.
• Must rotate shifts; weekends and holidays as scheduled.
• May work overtime or during emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with policies, procedures, and the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct.
• Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Counsel CNAs and recommend actions to the Director of Nursing.
• Observe and enforce infection control procedures.
• Ensure resident safety under your care.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Direct, evaluate, and supervise resident care; initiate corrective actions.
• Conduct daily resident rounds and report status to DON and Administrator.
• Supervise nursing rehab/restorative programs.
• Assist with incident/accident analysis and corrective actions.
• Complete MDS assessments and care plans timely.
• Review new residents and align orders with care plans.
• Participate in QA/QI program with QA Committee.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

At Maple Farm, our Registered Nurse Supervisors provide leadership and oversight for nursing services, ensuring high-quality resident care, staff development, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for supervising certified nursing assistants, coordinating care plans, and supporting a safe and compassionate environment for all residents.

What You'll Do

• Comply with established policies, procedures, and standards, including the Compliance Program/Code of Conduct
• Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all resident information, including condition and family matters
• Counsel certified nursing assistants and recommend personnel actions to the Director of Nursing Service as necessary
• Observe and enforce infection control procedures related to nursing services
• Ensure the safety of residents under your care or supervision
• Adhere to all facility safety policies and procedures
• Demonstrate dependability and punctuality by coming to work as scheduled
• Work cooperatively with administration, nursing personnel, physicians, community agencies, residents, families, and consultants
• Maintain a clean, neat uniform and professional appearance
• Accept assigned duties cooperatively and assume accountability for responsibilities outlined in the employee handbook
• Direct, evaluate, and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective actions as needed
• Conduct daily resident rounds and report nursing care status to the Director of Nursing Service and Administrator
• Supervise the implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programs
• Assist with analysis of incident and accident investigation reports, determining causes and implementing corrective actions as appropriate
• Complete residents' MDS assessments and care plans in a timely manner, with follow-up as needed
• Review newly admitted residents and compare physician orders with care plans to ensure accurate implementation
• Participate in the Quality Assessment and Assurance Program for the nursing department in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Committee
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Experience supervising nursing staff preferred
• Knowledge of restorative nursing, long-term care, and infection control procedures
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Commitment to customer service, teamwork, and professional development
• Must rotate shifts and work weekends and holidays as scheduled
• May be required to work during emergency conditions (short staffing, severe weather, evacuation, post-disaster, etc.)
• May be asked to work overtime to ensure adequate staffing

This position is full-time 32 hours per week 11pm-7am Monday-Thursday!
