Job summary

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a motivated Nurse Practitioner with a cardiac focus to join the Cardiovascular Consultants team. The role requires 3-5 years of cardiology experience, Master’s Nursing, and NP licensure in Missouri, with BLS/ACLS within 90 days.

You will work in a full-time, day-shift environment, collaborating with physicians, maintaining detailed patient records, and delivering high-quality care in emergencies.

Qualifications

• Master's Nursing degree required.
• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of employment.
• 3-5 years Cardiology experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications within 90 days of hire or transfer.
• Proficiency in Excel and ability to maintain detailed records.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Cardiovascular Consultants department.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to manage valve patients.
• Maintain detailed medical records and respond effectively in emergencies.
• Interpret and apply guidelines and policies to patient treatment plans.

Hours/Schedule

Full-Time (40-hrs per week)

Shift: Days

Department: Cardiovascular Consultants

Education: Master's Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Licensure: Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of employment.
Experience: 3-5 years Cardiology experience required. Broad knowledge of structural heart disease.
Certification: BLS and ACLS within 90 days of hire or transfer.
Other: Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities/demands. Ability to maintaindetailed records. Possesses a high degree of self-motivation and ability to function independently. Proficiency in Excel, spreadsheeting.Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Must be able to interpret, adapt and applyguidelines and policies. Must be able to communicate clearly, establish and maintain effective working relationships with multi-disciplinary teams regarding the ongoing care and treatment of valve patients.
