Job summary

South Texas Health System is seeking an RN to coordinate data collection, review medical records, and support the organization’s Stroke Program. The role focuses on concurrent review for trauma, chest pain, and stroke patients, and participation in quality improvement activities.

The candidate will assist leadership and the Stroke Program Coordinator with performance improvement and regulatory compliance, while promoting an environment of service excellence and staff education on stroke care

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Texas or compact state.
• BSN preferred.
• Must maintain 8 CEUs related to Stroke annually.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and databases; assist data collection and data management.
• Support Stroke Program quality improvement and regulatory compliance efforts.
• Educate staff and community on stroke initiatives; assist with Stroke Designation maintenance.
