UCLA Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Stress Testing in Cardiac Imaging at the Westwood campus. The role involves direct patient care for outpatient cardiac procedures, performing Stress Echos, treadmill tests, and bubble studies under standardized procedures.

Coverage may be needed at other UCLA cardiac stress labs. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Nursing with 2+ years in acute care and 6 months of cardiology experience, California RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Nursing required with 2+ years in acute care and at least 6 months cardiology experience.
• California RN License and current BLS/ACLS certifications required.
• Knowledge of exercise testing, lead placement, skin preparation, and ECG changes due to exercise, ischemia, and medications.

Responsabilités

• Perform Stress Echocardiograms (Stress Echos), treadmill stress tests, and bubble studies as ordered by staff physicians.
• Provide coverage at UCLA Cardiac Stress Labs as needed.
• Deliver direct patient care in a non-invasive Cardiodiagnostics department.

Job Description

In this role you would be in a non-invasive Cardiodiagnostics department provides direct care to patients undergoing outpatient cardiac procedures, cardiac evaluation. You will be responsible for preforming Stress Echos, Treadmills and Bubble Studies as ordered by staff physicians under Standardized Procedures. You may provide coverage at other UCLA cardiac stress labs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years or greater experience in an acute care unit and at least 6 months cardiology experience required.
• California RN LicenseBLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Knowledge of principles and details of exercise testing, including proper lead placement and skin preparationKnowledge of electrocardiography and changes in the ECG that may result from exercise, hyperventilation, ischemia, hypertrophy, conduction disorders, electrolyte disturbances, and drugs
