Job summary

Universal Hospital Services Inc. is seeking a Stress Lab Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality care during cardiac stress testing and related diagnostic procedures in a hospital setting.

You will assess, prepare, monitor, administer medications, respond to emergencies, educate patients, and collaborate with cardiologists and technologists to ensure accurate testing and patient safety, while supporting efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• RN program completion from accredited/NLN-approved program.
• BSN preferred.
• 1–2 years acute care nursing experience preferred; cardiology/telemetry/ICU/ER/PACU experience strongly preferred.
• Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to clinical changes.
• Current and active NY state nursing license; BLS and ACLS are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care during cardiac stress testing and related diagnostic procedures.

• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.

Responsibilities

The Stress Lab Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac stress testing and related diagnostic procedures. The RN is responsible for patient assessment, preparation, monitoring, medication administration, emergency response, patient education, and collaboration with cardiologists, technologists, and ancillary staff to ensure accurate testing, patient safety, and efficient workflow in the hospital setting. Will act as a Resource RN to support the Cath Lab, PACU, and assist with PICC lines.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Cardiology, telemetry, ICU, ER, PACU, or procedural area experience strongly preferred.
• Experience interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding to clinical changes.

Skills:

• Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic assessment skills.
• Proficiency in IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency response.
• Excellent patient communication and education skills.
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.
• Proficient electronic documentation skills.
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration and communication abilities.

License / Certification: BLS and ACLS. Current and active FL state nursing license.
