Job summary

St. Tammany Health System is seeking an experienced RN for off-site Emergency Services, daytime coverage, per diem. You will supervise a team and provide skilled nursing care using established protocols, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires current LA RN licensure, board-certified status, and timely certifications (BLS/ALS/PALS, TNCC/NRP within 1 year). CPI within 6 months is expected. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current LA RN licensure and board-certified nursing program.
• Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications through ILCOR or equivalent.
• TNCC and NRP certifications required within 1 year of hire.

Supervises the activities of Respiratory Therapists, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Unit Assistants. **Minimum Qualifications:*** Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.* Associate Degree required, Baccalaureate degree preferred.* Current LA RN licensure.* Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.* TNCC and NRP certifications required within 1 year of hire.* CPI certification required within 6 months of hire. Basic computer skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present information clearly and professionally. **Preferred Qualifications:**Emergency Department experience preferred. **Physical Demands:** Must possess good physical health.
