Job summary

St. Tammany Health System in Covington, LA is seeking an RN staff member for the Emergency Services department on a part-time, day-shift schedule (7am–7pm). The role includes supervising licensed personnel and delivering care using the nursing process.

Ideal candidates will have a current Louisiana RN license, BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months). One year of ED experience preferred; strong physical endurance for a fast-paced environment.

Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians. **Minimum Qualifications:*** Successfully completed Board Certified Nursing Program.* Current LA RN licensure.* Current BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications (ALS/PALS within 6 months of hire) through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off. **Preferred Qualifications:**One year of acute Emergency Department experience preferred. **Physical Demands:** Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
