St. Tammany Parish Hospital seeks a dedicated nursing professional responsible for providing care to patients in a designated timeframe. You will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and other team members to ensure effective patient care delivery.
The ideal candidate holds a Board Certified Nursing Program degree, current LA RN licensure, and necessary certifications. Experience in an acute Emergency Department is preferred. Good physical health is essential, as various activities may require lifting and standing for extended periods.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: TBD
Work Shift: 7am-7pm
Responsible and accountable for a group of patients during a designated time frame and to provide care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Supervises the activities of Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Assistants, Monitor Technicians, Certified Nursing Assistance, Nurse Technicians, unit clerks and Paramedic technicians.
One year of acute Emergency Department experience preferred.
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 20 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
