Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Staff Nurse Pool for Med/Surg at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, IL. This full-time, 36-hour week position requires night shifts (1900-0730) with weekend and holiday rotations and travel to multiple med/surg units within the Highland Park Hospital system.

Applicants must hold IL RN licensure, NLN-accredited nursing education, BLS/CPR certification, and at least 1 year of inpatient experience. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Current IL nursing licensure required
• NLN-accredited nursing program graduate
• BLS/CPR Healthcare Provider certification required
• Minimum 1 year direct inpatient care experience

Responsibilities

• Independently provide safe, effective nursing care for med/surg patients across Highland Park Hospital
• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Supervise and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes
• Support safety and high-quality patient experience

Hourly Pay Range:
$37.25 - $57.74 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position

Position: Staff Nurse Pool, Med/Surg
Location: Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park IL
Full Time: Full Time - 36 hours/week; 12-hour nights
Hours: nights 1900-0730; standard weekday with weekend rotation and holiday rotation
Required Travel: Float to all medical surgical units at Highland Park Hospital

What you will need

License: Current professional Nursing Licensure in the State of IL required
Education: Graduate of a NLN accredited school of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred
Certification: BLS/CPR Certification for the Healthcare Provider required
Experience: Minimum of one-year of direct inpatient care experience required

What you will do

• Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on med-surg units across Glenbrook Hospital based on areas of greatest need
• Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
• Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
• Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
• Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
