Job summary

The Paramount at Somers Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Somers, NY is seeking an experienced RN to join as Staff Educator. This leadership role coordinates clinical education, onboarding, competency programs, and ongoing professional development for nursing staff.

The Staff Educator will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain education records, and support infection control and survey readiness. Strong communication, mentoring, and nursing leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Experience in staff education or nursing leadership preferred.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and infection control.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for nursing staff.
• Develop and conduct educational programs and competency training.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility training requirements.
• Maintain staff education records and certifications.
• Provide ongoing clinical support and guidance to staff.
• Assist with infection control education and quality initiatives.
• Support survey preparedness and regulatory compliance.
• Identify educational needs and implement training programs.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to improve resident outcomes.
