Bellway Health and Rehabilitation in Selma, AL is seeking an experienced RN Staff Development Coordinator to oversee education, training, competency, and ongoing professional development of nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility.

The role emphasizes teaching, regulatory readiness, and collaboration with Nursing Leadership to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with state and federal requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Alabama.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience required.
• Experience in staff education, training, or nursing leadership preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of the survey process and survey readiness.
• Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills.
• Excellent communication, teaching, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead staff education and training programs.
• Conduct new hire orientation and clinical onboarding for nursing staff.
• Provide ongoing in-services and competency-based training.
• Support clinical skill development and performance improvement initiatives.
• Identify educational needs and develop appropriate training programs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal training requirements.
• Assist nursing leadership with survey readiness and regulatory preparation.
• Track and maintain employee education records, competencies, and certifications.
• Monitor required training to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and other nursing leadership to identify training needs.
• Provide coaching, education, and support to nursing staff.
• Promote clinical best practices, quality resident care, and regulatory compliance.
