Job summary

CommuniCare Health Services seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as RN Staff Development Coordinator for Madeira Healthcare Center in Madeira, OH. You will coordinate Nurse Aide training, develop materials, maintain documentation, and lead annual in-service programs to keep staff at the highest clinical standards.

The ideal candidate holds a current RN license in Ohio, has long-term care experience, maintains a Train The Trainer certificate for STNA training, and demonstrates

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in the state where the center is located.
• Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Maintain "Train The Trainer" certificate for STNA training.
• Prior experience in staff development in long term care desirable.
• Prior supervisory experience, preferably in a long-term care center.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate/conduct Nurse Aide training classes and testing and maintain all required documentation.
• Develop materials, manuals, and teaching aides and maintain resource library.
• Coordinate annual State-mandated inservicing for all employees.
• Coordinate State-mandated training hours for all STNA's.
• Participate in QI meetings to ensure staff training in identified areas of weakness.
• Develop, implement, and maintain an effective orientation program.
• Conduct/coordinate skills testing.
