Job summary

Signature HealthCARE in Norfolk seeks a Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to lead education for the nursing team. You will design and deliver training, assess competency, and mentor caregivers to uphold high resident care standards.

Responsibilities include hands-on coaching, regulatory compliance training, and onboarding for new staff. A current Virginia RN license and CPR certification are required, with preferred 3+ years in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Virginia.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, long-term care preferred.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices, regulations and long-term care guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver job skills training and in-service education for nursing staff in accordance with regulations.
• Regularly assess CNA performance and provide one-on-one coaching as needed.
• Train new staff in identified deficient areas before they work with residents.
