Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Norfolk is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator who is highly detail-oriented and passionate about training healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional resident care.

You will develop and implement job skills training and in-service education in the nursing department, regularly assess CNA competency, and provide one-on-one coaching to new staff to close gaps before hands-on tasks with residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current state licensure.
• Minimum three years of clinical experience in healthcare; long-term care preferred.
• Must have a current CPR certification.
• Knowledgeable of nursing practices, regulations and long-term care guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement job skills training and in-service education for nursing department staff.
• Regularly check competency of CNA skills, resident care and staff developmental needs; provide 1:1 instruction when needed.
• Provide skill training to new staff in deficient areas before hands-on resident care.
