Job summary

Park Manor Health & Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as Staff Development Coordinator in Northport, Alabama. This full-time nursing leadership role focuses on teaching, mentoring, and developing care teams to elevate resident outcomes.

As an RN Staff Development Coordinator, you’ll coordinate orientation, provide clinical education to RNs, LPNs, CNAs and other staff, conduct competency assessments, and partner with nursing leadership to drive ongoing staff

Qualifications

• Current Alabama RN license in good standing.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric care.
• Experience in staff development or nursing education preferred.
• Strong teaching, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor diverse staff.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new hires.
• Develop clinical education programs for RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Conduct nursing skills validations and competency assessments.
• Identify training needs and organize ongoing in-service education.
• Maintain training records and regulatory documentation.
• Support infection control and quality improvement initiatives.
