Brookhaven at Lexington in Lexington, MA is seeking an RN Staff Development Coordinator/Nurse Educator to design, implement, and evaluate orientation, ongoing education, and competency programs across our continuum of care.

You will collaborate with nursing leadership to maintain training documentation, support infection prevention, and ensure compliance with MA DPH, CMS, and accreditation standards.

Schedule: Full Time – 40 Hours Per Week; Pay Range: $46 - $51 Hourly.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active MA RN license.
• 2-3+ years in nursing education or staff development in long-term care or senior living settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan orientation and competency-based training for all Nursing Center and related staff.
• Conduct needs assessments and trainings on policies, quality initiatives, infection control and equipment.
• Review clinical data to identify education needs and track training attendance.
• Ensure competency evaluation of new hires and annual updates.
• Support infection control initiatives with training and audits.
• Develop and maintain nursing policies, procedures, manuals, and plans of correction.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in all education activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The RN Staff Development Coordinator/Nurse Educator plans, develops, implements, and evaluates orientation, continuing education, in-service training, and competency-based programs for clinical and health services staff across Brookhaven’s continuum of care, including independent living, assisted care, and skilled nursing. This position collaborates with nursing leadership to identify educational needs, maintain staff competencies and training documentation, support infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives, and promote compliance with Massachusetts DPH, CMS, federal, state, and accreditation requirements.

Schedule: Full Time – 40 Hours Per Week

Pay Range: $46 - $51 Hourly

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and implement orientation and competency-based training programs for all Nursing Center, Resident Health and Assisted Care employees; maintain documentation of program and attendance for each employee.
• Conduct educational needs assessments for staff, train on new policies and procedures, quality initiatives; infection control and equipment use, and include other departments’ staff as appropriate.
• Review clinical data and observations from rounds that could serve as indicator of staff needs for education and training.
• Ensure competency evaluation of all new Nursing Center employees upon hire and annually and as needed
• Support all infection control initiatives with training and audits to ensure compliance.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of nursing policies, procedures, manuals, plans of correction, and new and ongoing initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality for all pertinent patient care information to assure that patient rights are protected.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current, active Massachusetts Registered Nurse license required.
• At least 2-3years of nursing education, staff development, clinical training, nursing leadership, or related experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, post-acute care, or senior living setting preferred.
