Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking an experienced RN for Med-Surg on the night shift (7p–7a) with on-call rotation. You will provide professional nursing care, conduct assessments, educate patients and maintain medical records, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.

Applicants should be graduates of an accredited nursing program with Texas RN licensure; BSN preferred. BLS certification and unit-specific requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• Current State of Texas RN license or compact license to practice professional nursing.
• BLS certification. Additional unit-specific certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients using the nursing process.
• Coordinates planning for nursing care with an interdisciplinary team; administers clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes based on data and standards of care.
• Develops and implements discharge and/or transfer plans.
• Promotes ongoing evaluation of programs and process improvements to enhance patient experience.
