Job summary

The Washington Center for Bleeding Disorders is hiring a Full-Time Registered Nurse Specialist. The role includes on-the-job training within a specialty area and opportunities to contribute to national and regional projects, leadership roles, and collaboration with Hemophilia Treatment Centers across the country.

You will assess, coordinate patient care, educate patients and caregivers, participate in trials, and engage in community outreach.

Qualifications

• Active Washington State Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience.
• Proficient in English language, both spoken and written.
• Computer proficiency.
• Master's Degree in nursing or relevant field preferred or equivalent education and clinical experience, especially bleeding disorders.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and coordinate care plans.
• Teach patients and families; provide telephone triage and follow-up.
• Plan for invasive procedures and venipuncture; review testing results.
• Conduct home visits and infusions; participate in patient rounds.
• Educate outside professionals and other caregivers; collaborate with research teams.
• Engage in community education and outreach.
