Job summary

Carondelet St. Josephs Hospital in Tucson is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.

You will coordinate care across disciplines, implement and monitor care plans, and ensure smooth transitions for discharge planning while maintaining patient safety. Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, one year of RN experience, and an Arizona license or compact-state license with the ability to

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• One year as an RN.
• Arizona nursing license or compact state license and ability to obtain in 30 days.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred ACLS and related certifications as department needs.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition.
• Acts as primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Executes physician and nursing orders and documents actions.
• Coordinates discharge planning with the healthcare team.
• Performs comprehensive assessments and ongoing re-assessments.
• Develops care plans with patient/family and sets daily goals.
• Performs transition or discharge planning and implements care.
• Administers medications and provides patient/family education.
• Ensures patient safety and care continuity across units.
• Executes delegation, supervision and prioritization as needed.
