Job summary

Carondelet St. Marys Hospital in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in accordance with established policies and protocols. This role emphasizes coordination, assessment, and execution of individualized care plans.

You will collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, perform comprehensive nursing assessments, manage discharge planning, and ensure safe medication administration and patient education throughout hospitalization.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Experience: One year as an RN.
• Licensure/Certifications: Valid current Arizona Nursing License or compact state license and ability to become Arizona Licensed in 30 days.
• Basic Life Support (BLS).
• American Heart Association and others as required by individual department as noted in Attachment A.

Responsibilities

• Implements and monitors patient care plans and communicates patient condition.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders.
• Assesses and coordinates discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
• Nursing assessments including initial, re-assessment and focused assessments across clinical domains.
• Plans and outcomes: establish daily goals and plan of care, including discharge planning.
• Implementation: ensure patient safety, medication administration, provision of ordered treatments, patient and family education.
• Evaluation: monitor patient status and adjust care plan as needed, care coordination including delegation and supervision.
