Job summary

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing care in a patient- and family-centered approach. As primary nurse on the unit, you will coordinate care planning with the interdisciplinary team and perform unit-specific skills as required.

Responsibilities include direct patient care, medication administration, care coordination, and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record. Certification prerequisites and on-call requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Diploma Program Required or
• Associates Degree Required
• Bachelor’s Degree Nursing (BSN) Preferred
• 2 years Relevant experience Required
• Previous ICU, ED, or Periop Experience (Not OR or Med/Surg) Preferred
• Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
• Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required
• Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates direct care in accordance with the nursing process and hospital standards.
• Safely and independently administers prescribed treatments and nursing interventions.
• Organizes and prioritizes time based on patient condition and workload.
• Communicates patient needs for safe handoffs during transitions of care.
• Documents patient responses and progress in EMR; monitors nursing indicators.
