Job summary

FutureCare is seeking an RN Shift Supervisor to lead a dedicated nursing team and impact staff and residents positively across our Baltimore communities.

The role emphasizes supervising nursing personnel, directing care, and maintaining high standards of clinical competency for adult geriatric residents within a busy facility. Strong leadership and MD RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred.
• 1–3 years of managerial experience and leadership skills a plus.
• Previous experience caring for residents in a geriatric or skilled nursing facility.
• Current CPR license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all nursing personnel and nursing-related functions on a shift.
• Assess staffing and resident needs and direct care.
• Work with an adult geriatric population.
• Serve as role model for safe, effective, and efficient nursing care; supervise clinical aspects of nursing.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department.
• Interface with others to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Pursue growth opportunities and expand responsibilities to maintain clinical competency.

• Seeks opportunities for own growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain clinical competency

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Registered Nurse license issued in the state of Maryland
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university strongly preferred
• 1- 3 years of managerial experience and proven leadership skills a plus
• Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or skilled nursing facility
• Must possess a current CPR license
