Job summary

Heritage Skilled Care is seeking an RN Supervisor to oversee nursing care and staff on assigned shifts. You will provide clinical supervision, mentor team members, and ensure regulatory compliance within a long-term care facility.

You will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff, act as nurse-in-charge during shifts, and coordinate with physicians and families. Strong leadership and EHR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in long-term care or similar setting.
• Supervisory or charge nurse experience required.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and clinical documentation.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and resident rights.

Responsibilities

• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff to ensure resident care meets standards and care plans.
• Act as nurse-in-charge during assigned shifts, resolving clinical and staffing issues as needed.
• Monitor staff performance and provide guidance, coaching, and support.
• Assist with new staff orientation and ongoing training and development.
• Conduct shift hand-off reports and ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with scheduling and ensure appropriate staffing levels.
• Perform and oversee resident assessments and monitor changes in condition.
• Administer and supervise medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation in medical records.
• Respond to medical emergencies and initiate interventions.
• Support residents and families in understanding care plans.
