Qualifications

• Virginia licensure as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience in post-acute or medical/surgical settings.
• One or more years of nursing supervision experience preferred.
• Infection prevention & control certification preferred or to be completed within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for nursing staff and ensure quality care and positive interactions with residents and families.
• Supervise staff during Health & Rehab daily shifts; monitor compliance and performance; document disciplinary actions when needed.
• Conduct rounds and communicate resident status, coordinating with providers and families.
• Assist with staff scheduling and coverage; act as floor nurse when needed.
• Participate in after-hours call rotation to address staffing issues and safety concerns.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges, transfers, and ensure accurate medication reconciliation.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and participate in COR and QAPI committee meetings; report on quality metrics.
• Manage grievances and complaints; communicate issues to Nursing Director and other leaders.
• Conduct audits and assist in survey plans and corrective actions.
