Job summary

Milwaukee Nursing and Rehab seeks an RN Shift Supervisor to oversee nursing care, supervise staff, and support patient recovery. You will educate patients and families on prevention and healthy habits while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate is a responsible professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who can work with little supervision and uphold safety and health guidelines in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of management experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Active RN license in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents/patients.
• Ensure nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care.
• Provide in-service/staff development programs per regulations.
• Supervise nursing personnel as directed by DON and Assistant DON.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities:RN Shift Supervisor

• Assist in ensuring quality nursing care to all residents/patients. Supports and practices the philosophy, nursing objectives and standards of the Department of Nursing.
• Ensures that the nursing department is adequately staffed to provide quality care to patients/residents.
• Ensures the provision of in-service/staff development programs that contribute to meeting nursing objectives and standards and comply with all state and federal regulations.
• Provides clinical expertise to facilitate and support the nursing process in patient/ resident interventions.
• Assists in ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients/residents, employees and visitors.
• Exercises administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Director of Nursing and Assistant DON.
