Job summary

Meridian Healthcare in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Crisis Stabilization Unit. The role provides critical, compassionate care to individuals in mental health and substance use crises, with emphasis on timely assessments, coordinated treatment, and recovery-focused support.

The RN will conduct assessments, manage medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team while adhering to Florida regulations and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; active Florida RN license.
• 3-5 years of nursing experience with management responsibilities; acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and computer skills.
• Pass pre-employment assessments (16 WPM typing; 65% general assessment).

Responsibilities

About The Role

What We're Looking For

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Florida RN license required
• 3-5 years of nursing experience with management responsibilities (acute care preferred)
• Strong clinical, communication, and computer skills
• Must pass pre-employment assessments (minimum 16 WPM typing and 65% general assessment score)

Driver Requirements

• Valid Florida driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • No more than 3 moving violations/accidents in 3 years
  • No major violations in 5 years
