Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Doctors Medical Center Modesto is seeking a Shift Manager to lead nursing staff during the assigned shift, ensuring safe, effective patient care across units.

You will align care with age and development, assess unit staffing with leadership, and support a team focused on high-quality outcomes. BSN preferred; 3–5 years acute care, 2 years in critical care, and managerial communication are desirable.

Qualifications

• Three to five years acute care experience or equivalent.
• RN skills as described for designated unit.
• 2 years experience in Critical Care.
• Managerial Communication preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing staff to ensure patient care during the designated shift.
• Assure patient care is appropriate to the age and developmental level of patients served.
• Assess staff needs for the unit and collaborate with the staffing coordinator, Nurse Director, and Administrative Nursing Supervisor to ensure patients needs are met.
